CSA Terms & Conditions
By purchasing a CSA share, I acknowledge that I have carefully read, and understand, the terms of this agreement.
1. Investment & Shared Risk
By joining our CSA, you are making an investment in our farm and agreeing to share in the intrinsic risks and benefits of small-scale organic farming. While members enjoy seasonal abundances when crops do exceptionally well, tough weather and crop failure may affect the variety and quantity of produce received in any given year. Because your initial investment provides the capital necessary for Homefields Care Farm to finance a full season of crops, we cannot issue refunds under any circumstance.
In turn, Homefields strives to provide the freshest organic product possible. We may upon occasion purchase produce from other local farms to supplement our members’ shares. As often as possible we will source from organic farms however, they may at times, be conventionally grown.
2. Pickup Responsibilities & Alternate Options
Members are responsible for picking up their share during the designated pickup hours. If you are unable to pick up your share in a given week, you may select one of the following four options:
Donate your share: We donate all surplus produce to the Loft Community Partnership.
Designate: A friend or family member may pick up on your behalf.
“Box my Share”: for a $5 fee, we will box your share and hold it until the following Monday. Pick up time from 9:00–4:00.
One-time vacation credit: Request a one-time vacation week exchange for farm credit. Farm credit can be used for purchasing additional items but cannot be used for payment of your share.
3. Biweekly Share Schedule
If you selected a biweekly share, you may only pick up on your designated weeks. Due to intensive seasonal planning and GrownBy’s specific determination of shareholder pickup schedules, swapping assigned weeks is not permitted.
