All employment is seasonal; agricultural workers are eligible to apply for unemployment in the off season. All team members share in the bounty of the farm, taking home a weekly share of vegetables, fruits and herbs.

  • About You

    You’ll oversee farm operations on 19 acres, including crop production, CSA management, tracking and managing inputs, and philanthropic work of the farm. The Care Farm Manager is supported by an assistant manager and a board of directors, supervising a small team of farmhands (who have support needs), and collaborating with community partners.

    What we’re looking for in a Care Farm Manager

    • A passion for the purpose: supporting people with disabilities, community engagement, and social justice.

    • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in farm management or proven experience.

    • Proven leadership and management skills, with experience in supervising staff.

    • A bachelor’s degree in agriculture, farm management, environmental science (or related field) or relevant experience is highly desirable.

    • Ability to interact effectively with community members and stakeholders.

    Your Day

    • Supervise and train farm staff and volunteers, cultivating a positive and productive work environment.

    • Coordinate planting, harvesting, and other agricultural activities in alignment with seasonal requirements.

    • Develop and implement farm management plans to ensure optimal productivity and sustainability.

    • Host occasional farm tours with members of the public, press, and visitors.

    • Maintain equipment and oversee repairs as needed.

    Full-time, year round

    • In-person with minimal remote work.

    • $20.00–$23.00 / hour, depending on experience.

    • Day shift, schedule varies according to the seasonality of the role.

  • About You

    The Assistant Farm Manager will support the Farm Manager in day-to-day farm operations. The Assistant Farm Manager will oversee a small team of farmers with disabilities, providing job coaching and training. The assistant farm manager will support the farm manager with vocational training needs of volunteers and high school students with disabilities. The Assistant Farm Manager will fill in for manager absences, support volunteers and work CSA distribution as scheduled.

    What we’re looking for in a Care Farm Manager

    • A passion for the purpose: supporting people with disabilities, community engagement, and social justice.

    • High School Diploma, Bachelor’s degree preferred.

    • Minimum of one year of experience working on a farm, preferably with a CSA or similar model farm.

    • Good communication and customer service skills.

    Your Day

    • Execute the farm management plan as directed by the Farm Manager

    • Assist the farm manager with daily operations of crop production, including tracking for organic compliance, CSA operations and supporting volunteers

    • Support partnerships with local organizations and schools to promote vocational training, educational workshops, farm tours and volunteers

    • Cultivate a positive, encouraging and friendly work environment for everyone

    • Support the distribution of food donations to local charities and community organizations is completed and tracked per food safety guidelines

    • Follow safety practices and best practices for sustainable farming.

    • Participate in selected community events, farmer's markets, and outreach efforts

    • Assist the farm manager to maintain accurate records of farm operations, including crop yields, tracking to comply with organic certification requirements and financial expenditures.

    Full-time, year round

    • In-person with minimal remote work.

    • $17.00–$20.00 / hour, depending on experience.

    • Day shift, schedule varies according to the seasonality of the role.
