We will discuss topics such as honeybee anatomy, the inner workings of the hive, the importance of pollinators and various products from the hive and their usage. I will also discuss a little bit about beekeeping and all that entails.

My name is Danielle Frederick and I have been keeping bees for about 10 years. I manage a total of 5 hives at three different locations. I have two hives at Homefields Farm, two hives at an apiary in Manheim Township and one hive at a small orchard in Manheim Township as well. When I am not elbow deep in beehives, I am working as an Itinerant Autistic Support Teacher (K-12) and running a household of a husband, two children, a cat, three snakes and a hedgehog. When I have a little time to myself, I enjoy playing my ukulele, baking, making bath and beauty products, kayaking and camping.
